If you're a huge Remedy Lover, you know Sodaly and Switchel are both made from apple cider vinegar (ACV). That's why our DMs are filled with questions asking about the difference. Surely, if they're made from the same base ingredient, they're basically the same drink. Right?
Not quite! That's why we're here to break it down for you, and spill the tea (or apple cider vinegar, more accurately) on the difference between Sodaly and Switchel.
What is Switchel?
Made with apple cider vinegar (ACV), honey, and ginger, the recipe behind this drink is nothing new. Switchel has been around as a traditional homemade drink for centuries. It is believed to have originated in the West Indies in the 1600s, before spreading around the world. In the early 1700s, it became known in the USA as “Haymakers Punch” when it was embraced by farmers as a source of hydration during long days of hard yakka harvesting crops.
Turns out the farmers were onto something! With a hint of sweet, a touch of sour and a spicy ginger kick, Remedy Switchel ACV is your new tasty go-to for a daily dose of all natural goodness.
What is Sodaly?
Remedy Sodaly is a no sugar, prebiotic soft drink. Made with a base of ACV and 100% natural ingredients, it's the deliciously different soft drink. It’s big on flavour but low on cals. It’s full of prebiotic goodness, with no sugar, for real.
We know choosing something “healthier” normally means you’re making a compromise i.e. it either tastes bad (lookin’ at you wheatgrass) or it’s full of artificial nasties that make you feel just as guilty as the sugary option (not mentioning any names... diet soft drink). But why should you have to compromise to get that classic soft drink experience?!
What is the difference between Sodaly and Switchel?
Let's put two and two together.
Sodaly and Switchel are both made from a base of apple cider vinegar (ACV), and have natural flavours that reflect their flavour names: Sodaly Yuzu Lemon is made with yuzu and lemon extracts, whereas Switchel ACV Blood Orange is made with blood orange extract.
The difference is in the formulation. Sodaly is a soft drink, Switchel is a... well, switchel. To be considered switchel, it needs to have a those darn tasty honey and ginger flavours mixed through. This is the key difference that sets these two bangin' bevs apart!
